On October 02, 2025 EnerMech secured a substantial contract to deliver subsea pre-commissioning and specialist services for a major offshore gas development in Australia's East Browse basin. The work, scheduled from October 2025 to April 2026, will support the project's second-phase installation campaign. The scope includes riser and umbilical services such as flooding, leak testing, and post-installation testing, with operations centered on a floating LNG (FLNG) facility and supporting work in Malaysia and Australia.

Company leadership highlighted that the award reflects recognition of EnerMech's expertise in Australia's LNG sector and its proven track record of performance. The firm is committed to supporting energy evolution by deploying its market-leading procedures and equipment. This new contract builds upon EnerMech's previous involvement in other major Australian LNG projects, including Wheatstone, Gorgon, and Pluto LNG 2.

slb-ai

On October 02, 2025, SLB and SBM Offshore have formed an exclusive digital alliance to enhance the performance of offshore production systems, specifically targeting FPSOs (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading vessels). By combining SLB's digital expertise in subsurface and production with SBM Offshore's lifecycle capabilities, the partnership aims to create an AI-powered digital ecosystem. This system is designed to improve asset uptime and reduce the total cost of ownership for operators.

The integrated digital ecosystem will leverage SLB's Lumi platform and SBM Offshore's operational data to provide real-time, contextualized insights across the entire asset infrastructure. This will enable proactive problem-solving and more efficient decision-making from the reservoir to the FPSO, driving full-field optimization and operational excellence for their customers.

On October 02, 2025, North Sea Midstream Partners (NSMP) commenced receiving first gas from Shell's Victory field in the UK North Sea. This marks the first new gas from the West of Shetland region since 2017 and the first new supply to the St Fergus Gas Terminal since 2021. The gas will be transported via NSMP's SIRGE pipeline and the Frigg UK Association (FUKA) pipeline for processing.

NSMP's CEO commended Shell on the project, highlighting the role of their reliable infrastructure in supporting this development. The start-up of the Victory field is a critical project for enhancing the UK's energy security by supplying home-grown gas, reducing reliance on imports, and supporting local jobs and communities.
