According to SBM Offshore, the topsides lifting campaign for the FPSO Liza Unity has been completed at Keppel Shipyard located in Singapore.
Since the vessel came out of dry-dock in October 2020, an excess of more than 26,000 tons of topsides were safely lifted into position.
All current efforts are now focused on further progressing and completing the integration activities and gradually ramping-up the onboard commissioning activities, the company said.
The FPSO Liza Unity is SBM’s first Fast4Ward design.
“The ambition of our pioneering Fast4Ward® program is to transform the business by reducing cycle time to energy delivery, de-risking projects and improving quality and safety.”
This will be the second FPSO at the ExxonMobil-operated Liza field in the Stabroek block offshore Guyana.
The Liza Phase 2 project still remains on schedule for first oil come 2022.
